This is a video of some of the things I worked on for the game KillSteel. I worked on various parts of this project. MY main focus was creating VFX for the game; I used both Cascade and Niagara for the particles. I also created the grass and trees. In my spare time I was able to code the missiles using blueprints and then later one of our engineers helped get it into C++. I worked with this same engineer to create most of the various menus in our game. You can check out more of the barn destruction in one of my previous posts.
This is a student game made up of a 14 person team. It was a really great experience to have. Working as a team has many interesting advantages and disadvantages, but overall the experience was very nice. As a technical artist I was able to collaborate with both the artists and engineers on numerous tasks throughout development. I was able to learn a lot during the development and the game turned out better than expected.
You can check out the game for free on Steam.
